In the Valley by the Mountains

Junior year, I was studying Japanese style paintings and this came to be a favorite amongst friends. Note: this landscape does not exist.

I worked with trees, a river, several mountains, a small village, and cloudless skies. Despite the complexities of watercolor, everything was dealt with in several tones of light gray to gray. Each stroke was comprised of quick strokes, each one darkening after that.

Really, what I wanted was to be here. At the time, I have dreams about living in a place with no corruption, to live in peace and not give a damn about the government, rather give a damn about your village; your family.



Note: I've just added a signature at the bottom right hand corner just to label it mines and made it smaller. When it sell it on prints (if i can) I will remove my initials and it will be back to normal size and resolution.
